Scholarships

University of California wishes to promote system-wide collaboration and has created a scholarship to encourage projects to that end. Pharmacists or pharmacy residents who present a project pitch that can improve a system-wide problem would be qualified to apply for this scholarship.  There is one (1) scholarship available in the 2024-2025 year.  Specifically, this scholarship would be awarded to the selected project whose results could be implemented at other UC Academic Medical Centers to improve efficiency, decrease drug costs, improve patient safety, and/or improve the quality of pharmacy services.  Projects that are sustainable and improve pharmacy value will be given more points.  The value of the UC Value and Impact Scholarship is $5000 total and is provided by the selected site(s) and can be applied to the project or spread amongst residents or pharmacists (up to a max of 3 people per project) subject to budget availability. Pharmacist or pharmacy residents are expected present final project at the UC Pharmacy Conference (UCPC) in May 2025, following the project acceptance and completion.

Application to the scholarship can be found on the Project Pitch Form (see Projects and Research Page)
